Nice little investment ... oops, not little, it's quite a huge book and weighs about 10 kilos I think!

Now there's a BIG book if you want one for your coffee table. It's Leonardo da Vinci: The Complete Paintings and Drawings (by Taschen publishers). It's a superb paperweight (or doorstop) and the price tag is just as heavy ($NZ450, cheaper through Amazon but you pay the same amount again for freight ;)!). That's the Unknown Woman staring back at me (the old Da Vinci seemed to have a long list of unknown women!), the original is at Le Musée du Louvre (Portrait of an Unknown Woman (La Belle Ferronière), c. 1490-1495, oil on walnut, 63 x 45 cm.
