This is approximately how Burj Dubai, at 810 meters (or 2700 feet when
finished), would look, if it were placed directly beneath the scree of
Troll Wall, with it's monsterous vertical cliffs of 1785 meters (5950
feet), where about 1100 meters (3600 feet) are vertical, with 50 meters
overhang. BASE jumbers who jump off the top (it has been illegal since 1986),
falls for about 20 seconds or more, before they open their parashute.
This is Europes tallest vertical cliff, and one of the tallest
worldwide. I know of only one cliff in North America and one in Pakistan
(Great Trango Tower's east face) who are higher than the Troll Wall. But
they are located far away from the population in remote places. The
Troll Wall can be admired from the main road, passing by, only 3 km from
the foot of the scree. You can even go by train (Rauma-banen) from
Aandalsnes to Dombaas, and it passes by this huge cliff every day.
