the french, ian thorpe and others said he couldn't/wouldn't do it, but boy wonder and super human american swimmer Michael Phelps, with the help of his brilliant teammates, broke all records and won eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympiad adding them to his six from Athens in 2004.

I'll happily give the man his props, but ESPN had two people in China. One to cover Phelps, the other to cover everything else. Can you say "gross overexposure"?
