Sat 24 May, 2008 - 11:12:21 AM
New car Saturday: Colour shifting.
It almost looks purple in this shot. The appearance of the duco in this photo is a combination of the pearlescent paint, direct sunlight and the inability of the K850i to get the auto white balance set correctly.
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 11:12:57 AM
New car Saturday: A little gift bag from the dealership.

Sat 24 May, 2008 - 03:48:33 PM
South African breakfast cereal.
Well, that's the first time I've seen a Sewwth Ifricken origin product in the breakfast product aisle. Will give it a try.
I'm guessing we'll start seeing more and more imported lines while the Australian dollar is so strong against the USD and cross-rates.

Biscuit production: Because we can't spend all Saturday driving the new car.
One of my staff members has been selling these 1.3kg tubs of biscuit (aka "cookie" for you Yanks) dough as a fundraiser for one of the charities she supports. So, I bought of the 'triple chocolate mix' tubs and today we're going to see how they turn out.
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 04:33:03 PM
Biscuit production: Forming them up.
I have that South Park song,
Chocolate Salty Balls", running through my head at the moment.
BTW - the raw biscuit dough is SENSATIONAL. Pure artery-hardening goodness!
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 04:33:13 PM
Biscuit production: Off to the oven.
See ya, suckers.
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 04:43:23 PM
Biscuit production: Hot out of the oven.
Turn on your Smell-o-Vision *NOW*!
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 04:44:24 PM
Biscuit production: They're piling up!
But they'd be piling up a lot quicker if I wasn't eating them hot off the baking trays.
Sat 24 May, 2008 - 05:04:01 PM
Biscuit production: Someone explain this for me.
Why does the BAKED biscuit contain more fat, energy etc *by weight* than the uncooked dough it's made from? And no - you do not add any grease etc to the baking tray for cooking. I'm sure there is a simple explanation, but I can't get my head around it!
