This morning I'm out hunting for some 3M Scotchguard to protect the fabric in the new car. Decided, for the first time ever, to try out the local "small" retailer and show him some support. First time will be the last time.

The dickhead behind the counter was nothing short of indifferent - bordering on downright rude. I don't know whether or not this is their normal standard of service, but I'm not coming back to find out.

Oh - and they don't carry the product I wanted anyway.

Bloody hell! The Sydney 2000 olympic rings - bolted to the side of a recycling company building at St Peters.

Found some genuine 3M Scotchgard (fabric and upholstery) at Big-W of all places. Two cans for under $11.00ea. Beats the hell out of paying $600 for dealer "fabric protection" IMHO.

...but I can't touch the interior for six hours after the Scotchgard has been applied. Arrrgh!

The light pole at the back of our house now has bright orange Energy Australia tape with "X" markers wrapped around it. I wonder if the pole has been condemned or it's just to indicate it's been checked?
