They seem to be doing a good job with the car, but the coffee is nothing short of diabolical.

For the big test tomorrow morning.

I think yesterday's three hour session with the work coffee machine was a success. Certainly not a perfect shot of espresso by any means, but superior to what WAS coming out of it and infinitely better than the alternative (instant coffee).

Bought a bag of these Guatemalan beans to throw into the machine tomorrow morning. They were roasted two days ago and should be forgiving enough to produce a reasonable cup of coffee out of a fully-auto machine.

Brunch.

Little Sis has done it again. An awesome spread, including cold meats, a spinach and proscuitto tart, freshly-baked croissants, fruit platter etc.

Great way to chill out on a Sunday.

To try.

I've been told I will enjoy this. I'm not normally a beer drinker, but I do enjoy a brewed ginger beer. Methinks I *won't* have it with brunch this morning.... might go well with dinner, however.

Read the fine print.

Wow! A 100 litre "Water Trolley" (read: a blue garbage bin with a tap at the bottom). The perfect way to store/move 100L of water*

(*) If it wasn't for the label which says "Should only be filled to 50L (due to weight and stability)". I call SHENANIGANS!

Tony and Toni gave me a subscription for Crema Mazazine for my birthday this year (thanks, guys!). The first delivery arrived on Friday. Time to curl up on the lounge with a hot coffee and have a read.

Bitter bitters.

Walking past a bottleshop today I thought, "I could really go an LLB... I might buy the ingredients, go home and make some up".

The bottleshop was charging an insane $17.99 for a 200ml bottle of genuine Angostura aromatic bitters, but I couldn't be bothered walking 10mins down the road to a cheaper store. Bought the stuff and headed home.

After I'd mixed up my second LL&B, I walked to the liquor cabinet to put the bitters on the shelf.... right next to the almost-full bottle that was already there! Arrrrrgh!
